  • Ted Sakai
    Senior Associate, Executive Coach & Strategic Advisor

    With decades of leadership experience in the government sector, Ted possesses a deep understanding of the challenges faced by organizations and leaders, and how to overcome them. He lends his expertise to all aspects of the Fresh Leadership service offering, with an emphasis on leadership development and coaching. A certified practitioner of StratOps, Emotional Intelligence Assessment, and Meeting Facilitation, Ted has helped such clients as Farrington High School, Hawaii Island WEDO, and Salvation Army Addiction Treatment Services become better equipped for sustainable success.

    Prior to his association with Fresh Leadership, Ted enjoyed a long and successful career in the Corrections Division of Hawaii’s Department of Public Safety. From 1998 to 2002 he served as the state’s Director of Public Safety, during which time he was responsible for developing accountability systems for department managers, creating strategic plans, and coordinating and implementing programs that often involved coordination among multiple agencies. Ted was reappointed for the second time from June 2012 to December 2014 where he renewed the leadership capacity of the department where he implemented the Justic Reinvestment Initiative. He re-opened Kulani Correctional Facility and developed a plan for redevelopment of correctional facilities.

    He is also a member of the board of directors for a number of nonprofits, including the Hawaiian Legacy Foundation and Read to Me International.

  • Robin Kumabe
    Sr. Associate, Strategic Brand & Communications Consultant

    President of Bedrock Media Inc., a customer experience firm that defines, designs and delivers inspiring experiences, Robin is an expert in brand practices and developing branded retail environments. She partners with Fresh Leadership to provide integrated brand assessments, brand strategy planning, and brand building services.

    As president of Bedrock, Robin established the firm’s presence in Hawaii, and oversaw its success with such local clients as Kaiser Permanente, Kamehameha Schools and Bank of Hawaii. Prior to Bedrock, she owned her own interior design firm. She has also served as the EVP of Marui Imai Hawaii, responsible for managing Benetton’s retail presence in Hawaii, Guam and Saipan. She started her career with Chaix and Johnson International, specializing in retail environments.

  • Lisa Orimoto, Ph.d.
    Associate, Executive Coach & Facilitator

    A passion to see individuals restored to relational and emotional well-being, Lisa Orimoto has worked as a clinical psychologist in private practice since 1998. She obtained her Masters of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Clinical Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Dr. Orimoto has also taught graduate level courses at UH in the psychology and social work departments. She has worked on various research projects and publications, has done presentations at local and national conventions, and was awarded a research grant as a minority fellow with the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Orimoto’s expanding practice to include Life Planning and Coaching, and training for post-graduate therapists interested in integrating their spirituality with their therapeutic work.

  • Scott K Chong
    Associate, Talent Management Consultant

    Scott is Talent & Organizational Development professional with over 15 years in the High-tech space. He has a passion and skills for recruiting, training, and strategic planning in both Start-up and Large Enterprises. He is currently an HR Recruiter with Check Point Software and holds a BA in MIS from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, certificate in Coaching, temperament assessment from Keirsey, and is a certified StratOp facilitator. In his spare time he enjoys running, surfing, wine tasting, and cooking.

  • Dennis Teranishi
    Sr. Associate, Executive Coach & Strategic Advisor

    Dennis serves as Chairman/CEO of Pacific International Center for High Technology Research (PICHTR). Prior this, he was Vice Chairman/CEO of Hawaii Host Chocolates for 14 years. In addition to his leadership role with PICHTR, Mr. Teranishi serves on the boards of Hawaii Host, Inc., Island Insurance Co. Ltd., Island Holdings, Inc. and Kahua Ranch Co. Ltd.

    He also has served on a number of non-profit boards and is a Special Advisor to Emmaus Life Science Inc. and ItoEn USA. Prior to joining Hawaiian Host, Inc., Mr. Teranishi owned a business consultant firm. He also spent 19 years at AMFAC Inc., ending his tenure at AMFAC as the president of AMFAC Agribusiness, Inc.

  • Kimberley Kepner-Sybounmy
    Strategic Educational Consultant

    Kim is an independent consultant who works with high schools to implement appropriate education models and provide professional development for teachers. She partners with Fresh Leadership to deliver targeted education strategies, provide organizational advice and leadership training.

    As an independent consultant, Kim works on a variety of education projects and serves local schools with educational consulting services. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, she taught English at urban middle and high schools in Denver and Colorado. She holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction and Teacher Education from the University of Hawaii.

  • Patrick J. Foehr
    Educational Consultant

    Patrick J. Foehr has been an educator for his entire professional life. For the past twenty-three years he has worked with students in various capacities from ages pre-school through 12th grade. PJ has been a teacher, an assistant principal, a principal, and, most recently has worked as a consultant in the Superintendent's office for Hawaii Catholic Schools. PJ has worked mostly in public education; however his last three years have been in private education. He taught overseas and has experience with the International Baccalaureate curriculum. PJ has worked with students and parents of all abilities and socioeconomic levels – from the severely mentally disabled to highly gifted, from extreme poverty to very wealthy.

  • Keith Webb
    Nonprofit Leadership Coach Master Trainer

    Principal of Creative Results Management, Keith specializes in helping nonprofits multiply their impact across borders. He partners with Fresh Leadership to bring more focus and expertise to their work with the nonprofit sector.

    As president of Principal of Creative Results Management, Keith travels the globe to service clients outside his home base of Washington State. He has extensive experience living and working in Indonesia and Japan to help nonprofits in those countries enhance their ability to make an impact through leadership development and team coaching.
